Our territory's art and history are rich in aspects representing a heritage that associates aspects of material and immaterial knowledge, aspects that lead to you getting to know specific cultures.
In the city centre, the Forum, or the square, marks the public place where religion, administration, justice and trade meet. Just like our squares are today, where you can meet someone by chance, do some shopping (the Macellum is on one corner of the Forum), administer justice (the Basilica is on the other corner), or pray in the different temples present.
Stopping in the centre of the Forum, you can imagine the life of ancient Pompeians, going about all their public and private affairs without knowing the tragedy hanging over them. In fact, the volcano Vesuvius is right there, in line with the Temple of Jupiter - today placid and majestic, yesterday a terrible destroyer.
